Last week’s tips saw two correct scores come in, but we were just one goal out on four other games and on another day, that would have seen us posting a fantastic profit on the day.

This moves us neatly onto the next round of Premier League games, which is Matchday 11 and which comes after a somewhat miserable midweek for a number of teams competing in the Carabao Cup.

With Storm Ciaran haring into the south of the country we saw a number of these ties badly affected by the wind, especially on Wednesday night when the Bournemouth v Liverpool tie was badly affected by the wind.

Arsenal were surprisingly dumped out of the competition by West Ham, while Manchester United were also eliminated after a 3-0 home chasing by Newcastle United. Liverpool progressed with a 2-1 win at blustery Bournemouth while Everton, Fulham, Port Vale, Middlesbrough and Chelsea also made it through.

The quarterfinal draw saw Liverpool host West Ham, Chelsea take on Newcastle, Everton face Fulham and Middlesbrough take on Port Vale.

Now, the attention switches back to the Premier League this weekend and there are a number of fantastic games to enjoy.

The latest Premier League table sees Spurs still top, two points ahead of both Arsenal and Manchester City, with Liverpool just a point further back and Aston Villa in fifth just a point behind Liverpool.

Newcastle lie sixth, five points off Villa. Man Utd are 8th, Chelsea 11th after their surprise loss to Brentford, while Wolves, unbeaten in five now, move up to 12th. Everton’s third win in five games moved them up to 15th.

Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United, the three promoted teams last season, occupy the bottom three spots with the Blades the only team without a win this season.

Before we take a look at our tips for this week (with odds provided courtesy of bet365 Sport and all correct at the time of writing, but which may have changed in the meantime), let’s take a look at some of the big news in the Premier League this week.

Latest Premier League News

Brentford Want A Ton Of Money For Toney

Brentford have slapped a £100m price tag on their currently suspended striker Ivan Toney. The England international has missed the start of the season due to a betting ban which sees him out of action until January. Despite that, several teams including Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are believed to be keen, although that asking price may be a little too high for them to consider a move realistic in January.

Toffees Want Harrison To Stay Permanently

Everton have been impressed with the performances of their on loan Leeds United winger Jack Harrison. So much so that they want to keep the 26-year-old at the club permanently once his loan deal ends. Talks between the two clubs are expected to continue over the course of the season with a permanent deal perhaps being agreed in that time frame.

Liverpool and Arsenal Still Keen On Real Madrid Midfielder

Real Madrid have rebuffed reports in the news that Liverpool and Arsenal remain keen on a deal for their 23-year-old midfielder Aurielen Tchouameni. The talented midfielder has been a more regular started for Real this season alongside Jude Bellingham and Tony Kroos in a new look Real midfield and it seems any deal is unlikely at present.

Premier League – Matchday 11 Fixtures & Tips

Games shown kick off at 3pm on Saturday, 2pm on Sunday and 8.00pm on Monday unless otherwise stated.

Saturday 4th November

  • Fulham v Manchester United (12.30pm)

Can Manchester United bounce back from a miserable week which has seen them lose 3-0 at home twice, first to Manchester City in the Premier League and then to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. They face a Fulham side who won in the Carabao Cup in midweek and who have won three of their last four at home in the EPL. With United looking well out of sorts, this may be Fulham’s best chance to beat them at Craven Cottage in many years. Tip – Fulham 2-1 Manchester United – 12/1

  • Brentford v West Ham United

After their big win at Chelsea last week, Brentford have another London derby this weekend as they host a West Ham side who ended a poor run of form with a huge win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this week. The Hammers should be really boosted by that win but this looks like being a tough game against a Brentford side that don’t lose too many. However, I feel I have a solid tip here for what could be a tough game to predict, Tip – Brentford 1-1 West Ham – 13/2.

  • Burnley v Crystal Palace

Both these teams will be looking at this fixture thinking that if they play well enough, they could win it. Palace have had the better start to the season but are without a win in three and have lost the last two albeit against Newcastle and Tottenham. Burnley have lost 8 of their 10 games this season winning just one and that will be a big worry for them and I can’t quite see things getting better here. Tip – Burnley 0-1 Crystal Palace – 15/2.

  • Everton v Brighton

Sean Dyche seems to have got his Everton team playing some much better football of late and three wins from the last five games, including a great away win at West Ham last weekend, has seen them move away from the drop zone. In contrast Brighton have picked up just two points from the last 12 available in the Premier League. They did beat Everton 4-1 at Goodison last season, but lost 5-1 at home in one of the shock results of the year. I think one will be a bit closer. Tip – Everton 2-2 Brighton – 11/1.

  • Manchester City v Bournemouth

After putting on a fine display against Manchester United last weekend, Manchester City will feel their chances of a big win at home to Bournemouth are good. The Cherries are struggling and lie four points adrift of the teams above them and in the relegation dogfight. Andoni Iraola has had a few issues with his team and City away is a game where that will be exposed. City should win this one easily.  Tip – Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth – 8/1.

  • Sheffield United v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Can the Blades break their winless run against a Wolves side unbeaten in their last five? I doubt it. United are battling for their manager and you can’t fault their effort, but you also know that there is a singular lack of quality in this team, especially in depth, that will see them be able to compete at this level as things stand. As such, I am expecting Wolves to come away with the win here. Tip – Sheffield United 0-2 Wolves – 10/1

  • Newcastle United v Arsenal (5.30pm)

The late game on Saturday promised to be an absolute cracker as Arsenal travel north to take on the in-form Newcastle United. The two teams had contrasting fortunes in midweek, Newcastle comfortably beating Man Utd 3-0, while Arsenal went down to their first domestic defeat of the season losing 3-1 to West Ham. The Gunners will be at full-strength here though and as such, this should be a cracking game with goals at both ends. Tip – Newcastle United 2-2 Arsenal – 14/1.

Sunday 5th November

  • Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa

Aston Villa’s outstanding run of form has moved them into the top five and in contention for the top four, pickig up 13 points from the last 15 available has seen Unai Emery’s men open up a five point gap on Newcastle and Brighton below them in the table. They take on a Forest side without a win in five and who are struggling a little for goals at the moment. Villa could well take full advantage of that fact here. Tip – Nottingham Forest 1-3 Aston Villa – 14/1.

  • Luton Town v Liverpool (4.30pm)

These are the games that Luton Town fans will have dreamt of when they first got promoted into the Premier League. However, with them also comes a real risk of a bit of a thrashing as they take on a Liverpool side that is back to winning ways, having won all of their last four games in all competitions. The Hatters have picked up five points so far, but I don’t think they’ll add to that total here. Tip – Luton Town 0-2 Liverpool – 8/1.

Monday 6th November

  • Tottenham Hotspurs v Chelsea

The final game of the weekend takes place on Monday night as we have another big London derby as Spurs host Chelsea. Chelsea have been a thorn in Spurs side for many years now, but it seems now Spurs have the upper hand in the rivalry. The league leaders have a fantastic home record this season and Chelsea’s form remains sketchy which means that it looks likely to be a home win here. Tip – Tottenham 3-1 Chelsea – 16/1.
