San Francisco 49ers – Strengths
Trey Lance has a much higher ceiling than Jimmy Garoppolo if he can reach it, which could bring the team on quite considerably.
On defense, the front seven is as formidable as it gets with Bosa and Warner the standout players.
Deebo Samuel is so difficult for defences to scheme for, a truly one-off player equally effective at WR or RB.
San Francisco 49ers – Weaknesses
There will be inevitable growing pains with Trey Lance in his first year as a starting QB.
Need to diversify their offense, last season they were far too reliant on Deebo Samuel.
Alex Mack’s retirement means Lance will have a new center to play with. That will be a steep learning curve for the key duo.
Still question marks in the secondary, especially at cornerback in a division laden with WR talent, that is a concern.
