Pre-Season View
Mikel Arteta has made several good signings to add to his Arsenal squad and they now look well set to make a challenge for the top four for the first time in many years. The Gunners may look to ship out some squad men in the next few weeks (Bellerin, Pepe, Torreira amongst those that may leave).

Pre-Season View
There’s real evidence of progress with Aston Villa with the recent signings they have made under Steven Gerrard. This isn’t a team quite ready for the challenge of the top six, but they may well finish comfortably in the top half this season if they can hit the ground running.

Attackers – Keane Lewis-Potter, Halil Dervisoglu, Marcus Forss, Yoane Wissa, Joel Valencia, Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbuemo
Pre-Season View
Brentford were one of the surprise teams last season, staying in the division quite comfortably and I think Thomas Frank’s team will do likewise again this season. I can’t see them being top half, but I think they will do enough to avoid the drop and be relatively comfortable.

Attackers – Alexis Mac Allister, Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard, Danny Welbeck, Julio Enciso, Florin And one, Jeremy Sarmiento, Deniz Undav, Andi Zeqiri
Pre-Season View
Graham Potter steered Brighton to a brilliant top half finish last season and I can’t see them doing much worse this time around. One of the most enjoyable sides to watch in the Premier League and they will likely be comfortably in mid-table once again this season.

Midfielders – Conor Gallagher, Billy Gilmour, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Lofus-Cheek, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech
Attackers – Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Michy Batshuayi, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling
Pre-Season View
The post-Abramovich era at Chelsea has seen them make two big summer signings in the form of Sterling and Koulibaly and more names are being linked with the club, but I think they may struggle to keep pace with the top two and could find themselves in a battle with Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd once again for a top four finish.

Attackers – Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Christian Benteke, Odsonne Eduoard, Luke Plange
Pre-Season View
I thought Patrick Vieira made real strides with this Palace team last season and while I can’t see them gatecrashing the top ten, I do feel that progress will continue and they’ll end up in the group of teams chasing the top six but perhaps not quite bridging that gap.
Bet365 Odds to win the Premier League – 500/1

Midfielders – Allan, Anthony Gordon, Andros Townsend, Abdoulkaye Doucoure, Alex Iwobi, Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Tom Davies, Dele Alli
With rumours that players like Calvert-Lewin want to leave, and no really major signings this summer apart from Tarkowski, I can’t see Frank Lampard and Everton’s struggles ending this season. They won’t go down, but they may well be involved in the relegation battle later on than they would like.

Attackers – Aleksandar Mitrovic, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Ivan Cavaleiro, Rodrigo Muniz
Pre-Season View
Marco Silva has kept faith with the squad that earned him promotion comfortably last season and with 43-goal striker Mitrovic leading the line, I think Fulham will surprise a few teams this season and finish comfortably up the table with some big names behind them.
Bet365 Odds to win the Premier League – 1000/1
Prediction for Finishing Position in Premier League – 13th
Defenders – Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Stuart Dallas, Pascal Struijk, Leif Davis, Cody Drameh, Rasmus Kristensen

Attackers – Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood, Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, Daniel James
Pre-Season View
The loss of Raphinha to Barcelona will be a big loss to Leeds although Sinisterra should be a good signing as should the two USA internationals Aaronson and Adams. That said, I still feed Leeds may well be one of the teams embroiled in the relegation battle this season.

Midfielders – Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison, Marc Albrighton, Hamza Choudhury, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Nampalys Mendy, Wilfred Ndidi, Dennis Praet, Boubakary Soumare
There’s been no major changes at Leicester this past off-season and I worry about that. Teams need to freshen up, especially if they are going a little stale and I felt Leicester were last season. I think the Foxes may well have another disappointing campaign and the pressure will certainly be on manager Brendan Rodgers if that is the case.
Bet365 Odds to win the Premier League – 200/1
Prediction for Finishing Position in Premier League – 14th
Liverpool

League Position Last Season – 2nd

Midfielders – Thiago, Fabinho, James Milner, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott
Attackers – Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho
Pre-Season View
Jurgen Klopp has broken up his famous attacking triumvirate with the sale of Sadio Mane, but with Mo Salah signed up long term and Darwin Nunez signed to replace Mane and offer the Reds a genuine big number 9 threat, I expect Liverpool to really push Manchester City hard for the Premier League title once again.

Goalkeepers – Stefan Ortega, Ederson, Scott Carson
Midfielders – Kalvin Phillips, Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, James McAtee
I am not sure Pep Guardiola has finished his transfer dealings this summer as City look a bit light in defence and maybe also in attack. Even so, City will be the team to beat once again with Haaland offering them a goal threat like they have not possessed previously. That is going to be a major concern for other Premier League teams.

Attackers – Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Elanda, Tahith Chong, Shola Shoretire, Alejandro Garnacho
Pre-Season View
Erik Ten Haag has a big job on his hands to turn around United after last season’s debacle, and with Cristiano Ronaldo mooted to be on the move away from the club, it is going to be interesting to see what happens there. I think Ten Haag will make a positive impact but not enough to make the top four.

Newcastle haven’t splashed quite as much cash as expected since their takeover, but the players brought in are solid. They lack depth in attack and it’s no secret that Eddie Howe has targeted a striker in the rest of the window. If they can get a player in, then the top half beckons this season.

Forest boss Steve Cooper won’t be accused of resting on his laurels following his team’s promotion through the playoffs, Forest have been very busy in the transfer market as they seek to stay in the Premier League next season but I worry that upheaval may well cost them a chance at doing that and it could be a season of struggle of the signing’s don’t quite gel.

Pre-Season View
I look at this Southampton squad and I cannot see where the goals are going to come from. Neither Adams or Armstrong are prolific and other than Ward-Prowse’s set pieces, I can’t see a huge amount of creativity either. This season could well be a real struggle for the Saints.

Pre-Season View
Of all the teams in the Premier League this season, I think Spurs are the team that have made the most improvement in terms of the signings they have made, as such I think they will likely be the team most likely to challenge the top two in the Premier League, although I feel they are still likely to finish off the pace of the top two.

It took David Motes a while but he finally landed the striker he needed in Scamacca from Sassuolo and I think the Hammers are now set for another very good campaign this time around. They are developing into a very fine Premier League team and should be top half once again.

Pre-Season View
Wolves were solid if not spectacular last season and goalscoring was a problem for them, but a very solid defensive record meant that they finished comfortably in mid-table and I think that this will be the case again in the new season.
