Last week’s Premier League tips landed some nice winners, notably the 11/1 on the Bournemouth v Everton game finishing 2-2. There were some unusual results though last weekend, notably both Manchester clubs failing to win, while Burnley once again under-performed and Watford kept up their superb start to the season.

While Manchester City’s 100% start to the season ended with a draw at Wolves, four other teams kept up their good start. Watford, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham all registering wins. Bournemouth’s perfect record also went, though they will be happy at coming back from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw with Everton, with both sides having been reduced to 10-men in the first half.

It was another miserable week for West Ham though as they lost their third game in a row, leaving them adrift at the foot of the table but the big result came on Monday night at Old Trafford where Manchester United were soundly beaten 3-0 by Tottenham in what was a superb display by the London team against a Red Devils side looking badly out of sorts.

We’ll bring you the latest results and league table in the Premier League below and then we will preview this coming weekend’s ten games with our usual selection of tips for each. Remember, if you fancy a bet then the bet365 Sport New Player Bonus is a great way to start wagering at the site.

Premier League Matchday 4 Preview and Tips

  • Leicester City v Liverpool

Leicester and Liverpool have began the season well with the visitors currently at the top of the Premier League table. Leicester will give them their toughest test of the season though although they will be without Jamie Vardy who serves the last game of his three-game suspension. That I think just tips the balance of this game in the Reds favour and I am backing Liverpool to pick up a narrow win here.

Full Time Result – Liverpool to win – 4/9

Correct Score – Leicester City 1-2 Liverpool – 7/1

Anytime Goalscorer – Sadio Mane (Liverpool) – 7/5

  • Crystal Palace v Southampton

Crystal Palace have impressed me in their last two games, despite losing to Liverpool and Watford and I think they’ll get the rewards this weekend against a Southampton side that are just outside the drop zone after three games and for whom I don’t see things improving much over the coming weeks with some difficult games on the horizon.

Full Time Result – Crystal Palace to win – 19/20

Correct Score – Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Anytime Goalscorer – Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace) – 7/4

  • Everton v Huddersfield

Huddersfield are finding life in the top division much more difficult the second season in and I think Everton will capitalise on that. The Toffees have had two players sent off already this season and both Jagielka and Richarlison will miss this game. Both will be missed but even so, I am backing the home side to come away with a solid win here.

Full Time Result – Everton to win – 1/2

Correct Score – Everton 3-0 Huddersfield Town – 10/1

Anytime Goalscorer – Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton) – 11/5

  • Brighton v Fulham

Both these teams gave picked up one win this season from their three games, Fulham in style last weekend with a 4-2 win over Burnley. Brighton are strong at home in particular and having beaten Manchester United last time at home, I expect them to get the job done here against a Fulham side that do have their problems defensively.

Full Time Result – Brighton to win – 6/5

Correct Score – Brighton 1-0 Fulham – 15/2

Anytime Goalscorer – Pascal Gross (Brighton) – 5/2

  • Chelsea v Bournemouth

Both these teams have enjoyed great starts to the season but I think this game is where Bournemouth’s unbeaten run will end. Chelsea have looked strong going forward this season and I feel they will have too much in attack for the Cherries, although I do feel Bournemouth will grab a consolation in reply.

Full Time Result – Chelsea to win – 2/7

Correct Score – Chelsea 3-1 Bournemouth

Anytime Goalscorer – Pedro (Chelsea) – 6/4

  • West Ham v Wolves

Neither of these teams has picked up a win this season and a win for West Ham would move them above Wolves in the table, but Wolves have been a real shining light in their opening three games but I feel West Ham’s midweek Carabao Cup win will help galvanise a team short on confidence and that they will earn a battling draw here.

Full Time Result – Draw – 23/10

Correct Score – West Ham 1-1 Wolves – 11/2

Anytime Goalscorer – Marko Arnautovic (West Ham) – 15/8

  • Manchester City v Newcastle

Last season, Newcastle came to Manchester City and effectively tried to defend for 90 minutes and it was an approach that was criticised by many. Not that Rafa Benitez will care as I expect him to do the same again this time around, although I think City are now more adept at opening up teams that try to do this and will put Newcastle to the sword.

Full Time Result – Manchester City to win – 1/10

Correct Score – Manchester 3-0 Newcastle

Anytime Goalscorer – Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) – 4/5

  • Cardiff City v Arsenal

Cardiff are yet to score a goal in the Premier League this season and they face another tough test against an Arsenal side that picked up their first win of the season against West Ham last time out. I can’t really see how Cardiff can get the win here and Arsenal’s attacking threat is such that I am expecting them to win this game to nil.

Full Time Result – Arsenal to win – 4/7

Correct Score – Cardiff City 0-2 Arsenal

Anytime Goalscorer – Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) – 9/4

  • Watford v Tottenham

Tottenham’s stunning win over Manchester United on Monday night served to announce them as genuine title contenders once again and they put their 100% record on the line against Watford’s 100% record on Sunday. This should be a cracker, with Watford playing some great football of late but I think Spurs better quality in the attacking third will be the key difference between the teams.

Full Time Result – Tottenham to win – 8/13

Correct Score – Watford 1-2 Tottenham – 8/1

Anytime Goalscorer – Lucas Moura (Tottenham) – 8/5

  • Burnley v Manchester United

Both of these teams have failed to impress this season and both desperately need a win. A defeat for Manchester United here though is almost unthinkable and would heap massive pressure on Jose Mourinho. Burnley have the pressure off but even so, I think their poor form makes them the underdogs here and I am backing United to get back to winning ways here.

Full Time Result – Manchester United to win – 8/13

Correct Score – Burnley 0-2 Manchester United – 13/2

Anytime Goalscorer – Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United) – 5/4
