What Makes Mercenary X A Bet365 Original?

Since 2018, bet365 has released over 120 different and exclusive slot games across its network, so what is it about the Mercenary X slot that makes it unique and different to any of the other games released by the company?

The reason for that is because this slot is the first which the in-house team at bet365 has utilised game mechanics devised by another partner company, in this case Nolimit City, within a game of their own design and production.

So what are those game mechanics? Let’s take a look and find out.

Mercenary X Three x-Game Mechanics

Often, it is the bonus features that make a slot game stand out from its rivals and competitors and that is partly what makes the new Mercenary X slot so exciting for customers at bet365.

Each of the three Nolimit City game mechanics included offer something to the game itself and are as follows:

• xWays® – The xWays feature is similar to another feature available on other bet365 slot games called Megaways in that it is a feature which allows for a differing number of symbols to appear on any reel during any given spin. With the number of symbols appearing on the reel changing on each spin, this means that for each spin, the number of possible winning lines will also increase. The more winning lines available, then the more chances there are of one of them being a winner. Of course, in a similar vein, the more lines there are and the more symbols of the same type that you land (along with any Wilds) then that means there are more chances to win big on any spin.
• xNudge® – If you have been playing slots a long time, as I have, then you will know that the Nudge feature used to be a great help in some games, as it would allow you to nudge a reel one space up or down to complete a winning line, if you were lucky. The xNudge feature is the 21^st century version of that and in this game is linked to the Stacked Wild that is part of the game. If you land any part of the Stacked Wild on a reel, but the symbol does not cover that reel in full, then the xNudge feature kicks in and nudges the symbol up or down until he reel is covered in full. This can happen for any Stacked Wild on the reels, even if you land multiple Stacked Wilds on a spin.  
• xSplit® – This feature is one of the newer X-series featured offered by Nolimit City and when it is landed on the reels, it will split every symbol that is landed to the left of it across the reels into two. This means that instead of one symbol in that position, there will be two, which increases the number of pay lines and thus can mean that you land a win across more than one pay line on a spin. An additional bonus is that when you split the symbols in two the xSplit symbol then turns into a Wild symbol, offering you a chance at a better value win. Occasionally, the xSplit symbol is also used in conjunction with other key symbols on the reels, such as Scatter symbols, to trigger other bonus features, but this is dependent on which game is being played.  

“Exclusive And Tailored Content”

Bet365 have stated that they feel using the exclusive mechanics of a partner company and incorporating those features into an in-house designed slot, is a first for the casino gaming industry.

Unsurprisingly perhaps, the new release has generated a lot of interest, not least because it is the featured slot in bet365’s recent 100,000 Free Spins Giveaway promotion.

Certainly, this is a bold move by the company but one that, if successful, could lead to a number of previously exclusive features being made available on a wider variety of games, all of which will increase the amount of choice available for customers when it comes to their slot gaming.
