After being postponed in March, the Europa League is back this week to continue from where it left off, albeit with a very different ending to the tournament compared to what had originally been planned. When we left the tournament, we were in the middle of the Round of 16, with a number of first leg ties having been played.
So what will happen this week is that the six matches that have already played their first leg will play their second leg at the venues of the team slated to play at home in this leg. However, two fixtures that saw their first leg cancelled, Inter Milan v Getafe and Sevilla v AS Roma, will play a special one-off, winner progresses fixture at a neutral venue in Germany.
Once the eight quarterfinalists from the Round of 16 are then known, the remaining Europa League games will be played at a neutral venue in Germany with the winner of each single leg tie progressing into the semifinals, which will also be a one leg tie at a neutral venue, as will the final with all matches set to take place in Germany from the 5th to the 21st August. Extra time and penalties will be used to decide the outcome of each game on the day it is played.

The eight teams will then be drawn into one of four quarterfinals, each played on the 10th or 11th of August.
