What is a Bet Builder Bet?

A bet builder bet is a type of accumulator bet in that it combines multiple selections into one bet.

The customer then places their stake on all the selections comprising the bet builder being winning bets.

Just as with an accumulator, if one Bet Builder selection is a losing selection, then the entire bet is a loser. But if all selections in a Bet Builder are winners, then the bet is a winner.

Additionally, the different odds available for the different selections on a bet builder will ‘accumulate’ into longer odds. Generally the more selections you add to the Bet Builder bet, the higher those odds climb.

There is a maximum limit of 12 selections on Bet Builder bets.

In original Bet Builder Bets, customers could combine different markets from the same fixture. For example, for a football game between Arsenal and Everton, customers could combine an Over/Under 2.5 Goals selection, with a both teams to score selection and a number of corners in the game selection.

That remained the case until the Bet Builder + option became available at bet365 Sport.

What Makes a Bet Builder + Bet Different to a Standard Bet Builder Bet?

While the original Bet Builder bets were a great success, especially for acca punters who wanted to combine markets from the same fixture, they also had a slight issue.

That was that you could only select markets from the same fixture for your Bet Builder bet.

However, the advent of Bet Builder + changed that and it came about as a result of the expansion of the Bet Builder service to cover more fixtures and more sports at bet365.

Now, the Bet Builder feature at bet365 is available across the following sports:

For example, you could select the following options for a Bet Builder + bet at bet365:

• Manchester United to beat Arsenal
• For there to be 3 or more bookings in the game between Tottenham and West Ham
• For Tyson Fury to beat Oleksandr Usyk via knockout.
• Lewis Hamilton to finish on the podium of the next F1 Grand Prix

As you can see, we have not only included two options from different fixtures for the same sport (the first two bets) but also included options from the boxing and F1 pre-race markets too.

It is this added flexibility that makes Bet Builder + bets so intriguing. It offers scope for bet365 customers to really be able to personalise their bets across multiple fixtures, multiple markets and multiple sports.

There is still a limit of 12 selections on the Bet Builder + bets too. Plus you cannot have more than six players selected per team for goal and card markets for soccer matches. This is the case for both standard Bet Builder and Bet Builder + bets.

What is the Difference Between a Bet Builder/Bet Builder + Bet and an Accumulator?

You may now be wondering, if a Bet Builder (and by default, a Bet Builder +) bet is an accumulator type of bet, what makes it different to a standard accumulator?

Yes, a Bet Builder bet works in the same way as an accumulator bet. Furthermore, by the definition of an accumulator bet, it does fit the bill. The odds accumulate over the selections made to offer a bigger potential payout with the more selections added to the bet slip.

However, there are some notable differences between Bet Builder bets and accumulators, and these are: –

• On an accumulator bet, you cannot combine markets from a single fixture. Accumulator bets tend to be based on the same market (or similar markets) across a range of fixtures. Bet Builder bets originally allowed selections from different markets on the same fixture. Bet Builder + now allows selections from different markets on different fixtures on different sports!
• When you add an accumulator bet to your bet slip, for each selection you are shown the individual odds for that bet. You see the combined odds for the bet on the bet slip when you place your acca bet. Alternatively, with a Bet Builder or Bet Builder + bet, the odds shown for a selection are the total odds for the selections on your bet slip, including the selection you are going to add. This means that when you place any Bet Builder Bet, the odds for the selection are dependent on the selections already added to the bet slip.
• Bet Builder bets can comprise of up to 12 selections only. Accumulator bets can have more selections.
• Some Accumulator Bets qualify for bet365’s Acca Boost bonuses on some sports (such as Football, Tennis, MMA, American Football, Ice Hockey, Baseball, Basketball). Bet Builder bets do not qualify for these bonuses.

Bet Builder bets provide customers with another exciting option alongside their accumulator and other multiple selection bets. This is the case when betting at bet365 Sport or indeed any other bookmaker that offers a bet builder service.

Bet Builders are best used when you want to combine markets that are not allowed on standard accumulator bets, such as combining markets from the same fixture. Bet Builder + bets add far greater flexibility to allow customers the chance to combine markets from the same fixture, different fixtures and different markets.
