Let’s now preview the fixtures that we have coming up in the Premier League over the next couple of weekends.

Matchday 16 – Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th, Monday 10th December

Matchday 16 *Odds shown are correct as of 9am on Wednesday 5th December 2018 There’s a number of key games coming up this weekend but the pick of the fixture list is the game at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea face Manchester City in what is a classic top of the table six point clash. Victory for City would move them well clear of Chelsea and make it almost impossible for the Londoners to catch them, victory for Chelsea would close the gap on City to make it more manageable and prove to the Premier League that Pep Guardiola’s team are beatable. Our Tip – Back Chelsea and Manchester City for a rare draw between the teams at 11/4 with bet365

Matchday 17 – Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th December

Matchday 17 *Odds shown are correct as of 9am on Wednesday 5th December 2018 After the final set of group games in the Champions League and Europa League in midweek, the Premier League returns at the weekend with another couple of classic encounters including Manchester City facing an improving Everton side at the Etihad, while the big game of the weekend takes place at Anfield on Sunday with Liverpool facing Manchester United in one of the biggest games of any Premier League season. There are also some cracking relegation battles taking place this weekend including Huddersfield v Newcastle and Fulham v West Ham, while Chelsea and Arsenal face Sunday trips to the south coast to take on Brighton and Southampton respectively. Our Tip – Back Liverpool to win, Both Teams to Score – No at 15/8 with bet365.

Matchday 18 – Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd December

  • 21st Dec – Wolves v Liverpool (8pm)

  • 22nd Dec – West Ham v Watford (3pm)
  • 22nd Dec – Cardiff City v Man Utd (5.30pm)
  • 23rd Dec – Everton v Tottenham (4pm)
The final set of games before Christmas sees Liverpool face a tricky trip to Wolves on the Friday night, while Manchester City should pick up three points at home to an inconsistent Crysta Palace. Arsenal should do likewise against a Burnley side struggling for form, while Chelsea should be confident of three points against an improving Leicester City side. Manchester United face a tricky trip to Cardiff but the game of the weekend comes last of all on Sunday as Everton host Tottenham as two of the top six clash at Goodison Park.

The traditional boxing day fixtures list sees one game moved to the 27th (Southampton v West Ham) in what is a relatively even mix of fixtures. The top six sides all have very winnable fixtures with Manchester City’s trip to Leicester and Liverpool’s home game with Newcastle United looking the toughest on paper. There’s a couple of big relegation clashes to look forward to including Crystal Palace v Cardiff City and Fulham taking on Wolves in the early kick off.

The big game of the weekend in between Christmas and New Year sees Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield in a game which should be a cracker. The two teams shared a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium a couple of months ago, but this will be a game that both teams will be looking to pick up maximum points in. Other intriguing fixtures come at Selhurst Park where Crystal Palace face Chelsea, Manchester City’s trip to the south coast to take on Southampton, while Tottenham will face Wolves at Wembley.

  • 2nd Jan – Huddersfield v Burnley (7.45pm)
  • 2nd Jan – Newcastle Utd v Man Utd (8pm)
  • 3rd Jan – Manchester City v Liverpool (8pm)
The final set of festive fixtures has the biggest game of the season to round things off as on Thursday 3rd January, Manchester City will take on Liverpool in a game at the Etihad Stadium that will likely have massive repercussions for the title race, depending on how the two teams have done over the festive period. The big game the day before comes at St James’ Park where Newcastle face Manchester United looking for revenge after their 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all have winnable games against teams in the relegation battle, while Everton face a tricky test at home to Leicester City.
