New England Patriots – Strengths
Mac Jones looked to be developing very nicely into a quality NFL quarterback and his development should continue well in this offense.
As one of the best coaches in history, Bill Belichick will be able to get the best out of every player he keeps on his 53-man roster.
Cole Strange has the potential to be an excellent addition to the offensive line, affording Jones more protection and opening up the running game.
New England Patriots – Weaknesses
The Patriots have lost a lot of star quality in defense, especially in the secondary and for a team that was not that great against the pass in the last couple of years, that is a huge worry.
There is a lack of top calibre NFL talent in this squad, perhaps the most in the past 20 years for the Patriots.
This isn’t a team that is built to score quickly. Can they come back if they fall behind in a game? I am not so sure.

After losing a number of key players in the off-season, I think the Patriots may struggle a little this year. Jones will lead the offense well but I can see this defense having some tough games against the Dolphins and Jets, which may mean the Patriots are relegated to third best in the AFC East.
