It is worth remembering that while each week we bring you a list of some of the big tournaments either starting up, or coming to a close in this article, there are always a number of tournaments still ongoing around the world across the full range of eSports games. That is especially the case for the games League of Legends, Dota 2, StarCraft 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Many of these tournaments will be based on a league format, with a number of matches to be played in the league before an extensive playoff option. A good example of this is the CEVO tournament currently in progress for North American and European-based CS:GO teams which has seen 60 teams competing in the league stages in both continents, together with a playoff bracket after the league stage.
So, while our previews below will give you an idea of some of the best eSports betting likely to be available in the forthcoming week on sites like Bet365 Sport, it is worth remembering that there are many other tournaments still ongoing. If you are looking for some additional betting on eSports, your site may well offer a wide range of additional eSports bets on match ups in these other tournaments too.
Certainly the growth in popularity of eSports means that bookmakers are increasingly finding ways to offer an ever-expanding range of bets for this particular market.
With that in mind, let’s now take a look at three key tournaments all of which will start towards the tail end of next week but all of which will certainly be amongst the most interesting tournaments for eSports enthusiasts to bet on over the coming days. We’ll begin with arguably the most intriguing of all events, the eagerly awaited Dota 2 Frankfurt Major.
