After eight dramatic days at the WSOP Main Event 2024, Day nine is designated as a rest day for the nine remaining players from the 10,112 record field that started the Main Event.
However, on Tuesday, July 16th, at 1:30 pm local time in Las Vegas, Nevada, the nine remaining players will return to the table to battle it out for a spot in the final session.
At least five more players will be eliminated, each pocketing a consolation prize in seven-figures, as we head towards crowning the WSOP Main Event 2024 winner.

All of them seeking to inherit Daniel Weinman’s title from 2023!
WSOP Main Event 2024 – Final Table
Outlined below is the draw for the seats for each of the nine players at the final table. We are also showing the country each player represents and their current chip count.
- Seat 1 – Boris Angelov (Bulgaria) – 52,900,000
The Bulgarian is yet to win a major poker tournament and has played mainly across Europe since first appearing on the scene in 2021. His best cash so far is a second place at the EPT Main Event in Monte Carlo back in April when he landed a prize of €620,500 ($663,565).
His only previous visit to the WSOP was last year, when he finished 91st in a $1,500 Freezeout event and pocketed $4,048.
However, this summer, he spent an extended period in the US, taking part in several events in the WSOP and the Wynn Summer Classic, with cashes in nine events, three of them online.
With the smallest cashout for the final nine players starting at $1,000,000, this will comfortably be his largest payday, whatever position he finishes in the tournament.
- Seat 2 – Malo Latinois (France) – 25,500,000
Paris resident Malo Latinois began day seven of the WSOP Main Event 2024 as the chip leader. However, by the end of the day, he scraped through to the final table with the second-fewest chips of those remaining in the tournament.
That is entirely understandable for a player who is set to pocket at least a million dollars from his performance in this event. Especially when you consider his best-ever Live Cash was $52,951, and he has total live earnings of under $100,000.
He is another player that has earned a living playing in events across Europe, with his most notable finish a 16th at the EPT No Limit Hold’em Main Event in Paris in February 2023. He has two third place finishes at the Winamax Poker Open events in Bratislava in 2022 and 2023.
- Seat 3 – Brian Kim (United States) – 94,600,000
The most famous name at the final table and one of just two WSOP Bracelet holders in the final nine, Brian Kim has over $7.3 million in total earnings in his career and has already notched up some big cashes across 2024.
That includes a $954,000 third-place finish in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju and a $609,000 second-place finish in a similar event in Budva, Montenegro. He also cashed in two events in June at the Wynn Summer Classic.
Kim tends to focus on high-roller events and only plays a limited number of open tournaments each year. He won his bracelet in a WSOP Online event in October 2022 ($119,000) and his last tournament win came in December 2022, when he won the PGT Aria High Roller in Las Vegas for $101,200.
He will begin the WSOP Main Event 2024 Final Table second in the chip standings.
- Seat 4 – Niklas Astedt (Sweden) – 94,200,000
Just behind Kim is one of the most famous online poker players of all-time in Niklas Astedt. 10th in the Swedish all-time money list, Astedt has over $3m in career earnings to date and his biggest win so far is for just over $380,000.
Astedt made his name as an online player from 2020 to 2022, but has since gone back to playing in bricks and mortar casinos too. He already has cashed out at four events in the current WSOP, including two online events, but his earnings of just over $69,000 from those events will be dwarfed by his returns from the WSOP Main Event 2024.
He was particularly strong earlier this year at the EPT Paris, finishing 2nd, 7th and 4th in a trio of events that netted him over $550,000 in prize money. He has carried that good form with him to Vegas and he lies in third position in terms of the number of chips held at the final table.
- Seat 5 – Joe Serock (United States) – 83,600,000
Joe Serock is amongst the most experienced of players remaining in this event. He is the other WSOP bracelet holder, after winning a Pot-Limit Omaha online event in June 2023. He finished 1033rd in the Main Event last year, so he is going to surpass that considerably this time around.
Consistency is Serock’s key, with him posting regular cashouts from tournaments across the United States and, in his earlier years as a professional, from other parts of the globe too.
Equally adept online or at the felt, he has already been very busy in the WSOP this summer, posting nine cash outs, alongside another at the Wynn Summer classic since the 14th June alone. He is set for his biggest career payday in the WSOP Main Event 2024.
- Seat 6 – Jordan Griff (United States) – 143,700,000 – Chip Leader
Jordan Griff may scarcely believe what has happened to him in this tournament. His total live earnings are just $47,192 and his best ever cash is for $18,104. Other than that, his poker career, as well as being short, is also unremarkable.
Which makes the fact that he is the chip leader heading into the Final Table at the WSOP Main Event 2024, all the more remarkable.
This year, he has earned $3,108 from cashes, one of which came in a Freezeout event in the WSOP, where he earned $2004 for a 175th place finish. He is set to earn a whole lot more if he can continue to collect chips at the final table on Tuesday.
- Seat 7 – Jonathan Tamayo (United States) – 26,700,000
Hailing from Humble, Texas, Jonathan Tamayo has total live earnings of over $2.3 million and has a best live cash of $352,832. Both of those figures are likely to take a significant movement upwards at the conclusion of the WSOP Main Event 2024.
Tamayo came into this event on the back of a strong 3rd place finish (for $180,000) in the PGT Texas Poker Open in Houston back in April. That was his best finish since winning the $1,100 Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas in May 2021.
Since then he has landed a number of lower value cashes at events at the 2024 WSOP, but with a million guaranteed here, he is sure to boost those returns wherever he finishes.
- Seat 8 – Andres Gonzalez (Spain) – 18,300,000
Andres Gonzalez may have the shortest stack at the final table, but he has already pocketed over $200,000 from the WSOP series on Las Vegas from finishing third in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout event on June 10th.
That was a big moment for the Spaniard and his first cash in almost two years, since he finished 212th at an online WSOP 6-Handed Bounty event in September 2022.
With career earnings of just $294,249, the Spaniard hasn’t been amongst the biggest hitters in the poker world, but has a chance to put that right, even if he is short-stacked at this final table.
- Seat 9 – Jason Sagle (Canada) – 67,300,000
Niagara Falls-based Jason Sagle is another professional who has been very busy at the current WSOP and Wynn Summer Classic, earning nine cash prizes over the last couple of months, albeit his best finish was 72nd place in the Millionaire Maker on the 21st of June ($17,590).
His best performance came in the 2006 North American Poker Championship, in Niagara Falls, where he finished second, earning over $600,000 in prize money from that one event.
His performance in this year’s Main Event is certainly his best in a major tournament since then and will comfortably see him earn his biggest cashout in his poker career thus far.
