After a week away due to the final international break of the season, we are back with our weekend Premier League tips, this time for the ‘unlucky’ Matchday 13 games.

You can catch up with the latest Premier League table by clicking here.

There are a number of intriguing clashes taking place this weekend. That starts with the very first game of Matchday 13 as Manchester City host Liverpool with top taking on second place in the Premier League at the Etihad.

These two teams have been embroiled in a battle for the title in several of the last few years and Manchester City have tended to come out on top in this context. But in head-to-head games between the two, things are much closer, although City do have a good record at home to Liverpool over the last few years.

And there’s already been some controversy over t PGMOL appointing Chris Kavanagh as the official for this game.

However, this is not the only huge game this weekend as at 3pm we see Newcastle United lock horns with Chelsea in what is a must win game for both these teams if they are to harbour realistic ambitions of the top four this season.

The late kick off on Saturday sees Brentford face Arsenal and then on Sunday we have two huge games as Tottenham (4th) take on fifth placed Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium, then in the later game, Everton will face Manchester United after the Toffees were deducted 10 points for a single breach of financial fair play rules.

As always, if you are looking for a bookmaker to offer you great odds on these games and many more across the football season, then bet365 Sport is the place to head.

Latest Premier League News

Everton Fury After EPL Sanction 10-point Deduction for FFP Breach

The Premier League has imposed a 10-point penalty on Everton for a single breach of Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. The announcement has shocked many, including Manchester City (who are accused of 115 such breaches) and Chelsea (who also are being investigated for several rule breaches). Many feel Everton have been unfairly treated in the light of the lack of action taken by the EPL against City and Chelsea thus far. The points deduction moved Everton down to 19th in the table, but the Toffees are just two points clear of safety. They face Manchester United on Sunday in what will be a white hot atmosphere at Goodison Park.

Saudi Pro League Set For Another EPL Raid in January?

There are reports that teams in the Saudi Pro League are eyeing up moves for a number of Premier League stars in the coming January transfer window. The most prominent rumour is a £150m move for Liverpool’s Egyptian superstar Mo Salah being a renewed target, but a number of other Premier League stars have also been rumoured to be potential subjects for a bid including Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Casemiro (Man Utd), Eric Dier (Tottenham) and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham).

Saturday 25th November

  • Manchester City v Liverpool (12.30pm)

The top two clash at the Etihad with both teams knowing a win would ensure they finish the weekend in top spot in the table. Both sides have similar form heading into the game, but City have a good record against Liverpool at the Etihad in recent years. Liverpool have drawn three, won two and lost one of their six away games so far this season and it’s hard to see them winning here. However, they could do enough to clinch a draw. Tip – Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool – 8/1.

  • Burnley v West Ham

Burnley have lost all of their last five Premier League games and it has been a sobering introduction to the topflight as a manager for Vincent Kompany. West Ham’s recent form has been a little up and down too, with the Hammers unable to recapture their solid form in Europe in the Premier League in recent weeks. David Moyes team though have won some crucial away games at times over the last couple of years and that is what I think will happen here. Tip – Burnley 1-3 West Ham – 16/1.

  • Luton Town v Crystal Palace

Can the Hatters claim another win in the Premier League? They face a tricky opponent in Crystal Palace, a side who can beat anybody on their day, but also lose to anybody. Luton’s form has seen them pick up just two points from the last 15 available, but they almost beat Liverpool in their last home game and I fancy them to get something here. I just don’t think it will be three points. Tip – Luton Town 1-1 Crystal Palace – 11/2.

  • Newcastle United v Chelsea

What an intriguing match we have in store at St James’ Park. Newcastle, who have defeated both Manchester clubs this season, take on Chelsea who have beat Spurs and held Manchester City to a draw in their last two games. Both teams also still harbour at least top six, if not top four ambitions  but you get the feeling that a win is a must here if one of them is to achieve that. Newcastle are very strong at home though and I can’t go against them here. Tip – Newcastle United 2-1 Chelsea – 10/1.

  • Nottingham Forest v Brighton

Brighton come into this game on a run of five games without a win in the Premier League, a run which has seen them all to ninth place in the table. It is not that the Seagulls are losing games, they have lost just one of the last five, but they keep drawing games that they should have won. Forest have not lost a game at the City Ground this season and I can see that record remaining in place here, but I can’t see the home side picking up the three points. Tip – Nottingham Forest 2-2 Brighton – 14/1.

  • Sheffield United v Bournemouth

Sheffield United have picked up four points in their last two games, Bournemouth six in their last three. That means both teams are in the best form of the season so far which makes this game between two of the teams in the bottom five all-the-more intriguing. That said, I still feel that they are amongst the weakest three teams in the Premier League right now, but I feel Bournemouth’s form is more impressive and as such, I am backing them to land the win here. Tip – Burnley 0-1 Bournemouth – 17/2.

  • Brentford v Arsenal (5.30pm)

Brentford famously handed Arsenal a defeat in their first game back in the Premier League a few years back but since then the Gunners are unbeaten in the last four, winning three and drawing the other. Arsenal did beat Brentford in the League Cup a couple of months back but the Bees have lost just twice since away to Man Utd and Liverpool and had won three games in a row before their loss at Anfield. This will be a close one but I think Arsenal will do just enough to claim the win. Tip – Brentford 0-2 Arsenal – 8/1.

Sunday 26th November

  • Tottenham v Aston Villa

Can Tottenham bounce back from two defeats in a row? They face an Aston Villa side who are just one place and one point behind them in the Premier League table in what should be a cracking game in London. The international break probably came at a good time for Ange Postecoglou’s team and I think the chance to regroup after two crazy games with Chelsea and Wolves will have helped Spurs. Villa are excellent at home, but not so good on the road and as such, I think Spurs will claim the win here. Tip – Tottenham 2-0 Aston Villa – 16/1.

  • Everton v Manchester United (4.30pm)

After news of Everton’s 10-point deduction became widespread, there was a real feeling of injustice on the blue half of Merseyside and it seems this game with Man Utd will be a chance for them to express their ire at the Premier League and their support for their team. Sean Dyche’s men are now 2 points from safety and hardly relegation certainties given their improved form and I think you will see that here against a Man Utd side whose form has been decent of late in the EPL. Tip – Everton 2-1 Manchester United – 11/1.

Monday 27th November

  • Fulham v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Fulham need to arrest an alarming slump down the table. Marco Silva’s team made a solid enough start to their Premier League campaign, but their sole three wins this season have come against Everton, Luton and Sheffield United. All ranked below them in the league table. Wolves have been the opposite in many respects, a slow start but their form has improved of late to move up the table to 12th. There’s lots of possible results for this one, but I feel Wolves form is enough for them to get something from the game. Tip – Fulham 1-1 Wolves – 11/2.
