Last weekend we saw just three of the scheduled four games in the Premier League taking place as the Manchester City v West Ham clash at the Etihad was postponed due to the effects of Storm Ciara. However, in other games Brighton and Watford shared the points while Everton and Sheffield United posted good wins against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth respectively.

With Manchester City’s game with West Ham now rearranged for the 19th February, this weekend sees the remaining half a dozen games taking place from Matchday 26, which includes a massive game at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Manchester United, which takes place on Monday evening, as well as an exciting Midlands derby kicking things off on Friday night as Leicester City face off against Wolves at Molineux.

Premier League Matchday 26 – 14th to 17th February

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leicester City

Both these teams come into this Midlands derby in similar form of late, with some disheartening defeats mixed in amongst some generally positive performances. As such, when both teams form is a little patchy like this it is hard to pick the right result. They drew 0-0 on the opening day of the season at the King Power and I can see this game following a similar pattern.

I do feel though that both teams are better going forward now than they were in that opening game of the season and as such, I do feel both could find the net. However, I think with both sides being hard to beat this season, that a score draw is the most likely outcome of this game.

Match Result Tip – Draw – 9/4

Correct Score Tip – Wolves 1-1 Leicester City – 6/1

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Raul Jiminez (Wolves) – 6/4

Southampton v Burnley

These two sides also have quite similar form coming into this game and they are also level on 31 points landed so far this season. However, over the last couple of months, I feel Southampton have been performing the better of the two teams and with home advantage, I do fancy the Saints to have the edge in this encounter.

That’s not to say Burnley will be out of this. They produced a superb display to beat Man Utd at Old Trafford a few weeks back so they can perform on the road, but I just feel with the Saints home form much improved of late, and Danny Ings in rich goalscoring form, the odds tend to favour the home side here.

Match Result Tip – Southampton win – 4/6

Correct Score Tip – Southampton 2-0 Burnley – 8/1

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Danny Ings (Southampton) – 20/21

Norwich City v Liverpool

Bottom of the league Norwich take on top of the table Liverpool in what would surely be the biggest upset of the season should the Canaries manage to get something from this game. Daniel Farke’s team have struggled for the most part this season but they have beaten Manchester City at home and they will be hoping lightning can strike twice here.

However, Liverpool just don’t look like losing a game at the moment and having dropped just two points all season (in a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United) the Reds will be keen to take another step closer to the league title here and I can’t see any real evidence that Norwich can stop them doing that even at home. This should be a straightforward Liverpool win.

Match Result Tip – Liverpool to win – 3/10

Correct Score Tip – Norwich City 0-3 Liverpool – 17/2

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) – 11/10

Aston Villa v Tottenham

Aston Villa’s inconsistency has been a real problem for them this season. At times they have played well but not got the results they deserved, often due to late goals being scored against them. Tottenham under Jose Mourinho have picked up in terms of results, but performances of late, especially without the injured Harry Kane have been a little lacking.

That said, Spurs have enough strength in depth to cope with Kane’s loss and with Son in top form, and Dele Alli getting back to his best, Spurs still are a potent attacking threat. This will be a close one though and I can see Villa scoring a goal, but I do feel Spurs will still just do enough to claim the win.

Match Result Tip – Tottenham to win – 5/6

Correct Score Tip – Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham – 17/2

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) – 11/10

Arsenal v Newcastle United

Arsenal emerged the 1-0 victors when the teams met at St James’ Park on the first weekend of the season but the Gunners have won just five more games this season in the EPl, drawing a league high 13 and I think that statistic alone will give Steve Bruce’s Newcastle a bit of hope that they can get another big result on the road.

Having won at Spurs this season, Newcastle would love to do the North London double but I just can’t see them scoring goals in these types of games unless the opposition defence has an off day. With home advantage and the benefit of some rest, Arsenal should claim the win here with relative comfort.

Match Result Tip – Arsenal to win – 2/5

Correct Score Tip – Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle United – 7/1

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) – 4/5

Chelsea v Manchester United

After beating Chelsea 4-0 in their season opener, United fans would have been hoping for a better season this time around, but in truth it has been a poor campaign for the Red Devils as they trail Chelsea by six points and they lie 8th in the table, albeit with a game in hand on two of the teams above them.

Chelsea’s poor run of form hasn’t helped their quest for a top four spot and Frank Lampard will know that this is a big game for them in those regards. However Man Utd have a good record over Chelsea in recent times and they are set up to take advantage of some poor Chelsea defending at home and as such, I can see United springing a little upset here to land the win.

Match Result Tip – Manchester United to win – 16/5

Correct Score Tip – Chelsea 1-2 Manchester United – 14/1

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Bruno Fernandes (Man United) – 10/3
