Bet365 Poker will soon be undergoing what a plethora of other online poker sites have done in the past days and weeks, a major software upgrade.
According to a recent report by Poker Fuse Bet365 (and the entire iPoker Network) will undergo a massive software upgrade, following in the footsteps of Party Poker and other sites that have recently revamped their poker clients.
In this installment of Inside Bet365 Poker we’ll take a look at what to expect from this software update, and we’ll also take a look at yesterday’s $200k guarantee Sunday Special tournament (yes the tournament’s guarantee was bumped from $150k to $200k this week), and as always we’ll bring you our weekly Social Media Buzz and Did You Know segments.

What’s Happening at Bet365 Poker?
October Software Upgrade Planned
The iPoker Network (where Bet365 is one of the top-rated skins) is about to undergo some serious changes, as a major software overhaul is planned for October according to an article at PokerFuse.com.
The upgrade will see iPoker modernize its client, as well as introduce the poker world to the first-of-its-kind Late Entry option for Sit & Go tournaments at the site. Among the more mundane upgrades Poker Fuse is reporting the iPoker Network will add will be re-entry tournaments, a time bank for cash games, and the not-so-mundane addition of multi-entry tournaments, which is currently only offered at one other poker site: Full Tilt Poker.
iPoker is currently locked in a head-to-head battle with Full Tilt Poker for the #2 spot on PokerScout.com’s online traffic rankings, with the two rooms deadlocked for weeks. Bet365 and the entire iPoker Network is hoping that the new software, and the recent addition of a mobile poker client, will be enough to put Full Tilt Poker firmly in their rearview mirror and claim the 32 spot all for themselves.
Bet365 and iPoker Raise the Guarantee for the Sunday Special
This past weekend Bet365 hosted a $200k guaranteed Sunday Special (the tournament typically features a $150k guarantee) and despite a massive turnout of 964 players the tournament fell a little bit short of the guaranteed prize-pool, offering a small overlay of $7,200. The 964 entrants are still the most in recent memory for the tournament, and with a top-prize of $34,500 all of the tournament grinders showed up for this event.
The winner of the event was a player using the screen-name “KADUFATDET” who followed up his big win with a final table in the $30k guarantee later in the night on Sunday!

The Bet365 Poker Social Media Buzz
Bet365 Tweet of the Week
https://twitter.com/bet365/status/377124445934342144
There is nothing like a goofy face and a caption contest to get the Twitterverse going, and this is precisely what Bet365 accomplished with this comical still photo of three tennis legends.
As you can see, someone caught tennis superstar and poker aficionado Rafa Nadal (a Team PokerStars Pro) in one of those candid stills where god knows what is going on. My personal favorite in the caption contest is this gem from a Bet365 follower:

If you’re interested in some freebies than the Bet365 Twitter feed is definitely for you, as the site has a very active Twitter account with plenty of spur of the moment contests and prizes constantly being announced. But you won’t know about them if you don’t follow Bet365 on Twitter.
Did You Know…
… Bet365 Poker has a “Quick Search” lobby?
The Bet365 Poker lobby has one of the most user-friendly lobby filters of any online poker room, with over 22 separate filters to choose from.
Bet365 has both cash game and tournament filters that allow users to filter by game type, stakes, and number of players, among other options. But where the filters come in the handiest is when you need to pare down the hundreds of tournaments offered by Bet365.
Sit & Go players will be able to quickly pare-down the lobby to a point where only the specific S&G’s they enter will be visible, and players can even filter out all running tournaments of that type as well, leaving just registering tournaments in the lobby.
