For many darts’ players the prospect of weeks of practice at home probably wasn’t the most appealing, especially when they were used to playing in major events such as the PDC Premier League over this time of the year. However, the PDC have once again pushed the innovation in darts to a new level with the formation of their first ever Home Tour Darts Tournament.

The event, which does not have any prize money but for which players will receive a small appearance fee, features 32 PDC players who will all participate in the tournament from home. The 32 players have been split into eight groups, with the action starting on Friday 17th April with Group 1 and progressing through until Friday 24th April when Group 8 games will be completed.

Currently you can enjoy a wide range of bets on this innovative new darts tournament at a number of sites, but if you want to sign up to enjoy a spot of betting on the unusual event, then the latest bet365 Sports New Player Bonus is well worth a closer look as it offers customers plenty of extras when they sign up, as well as access to a fantastic range of bets on each of the games in the PDC Home Tour tournament too.

Unfortunately, if you are based in the states of Indiana and Pennsylvania, then you won’t have access to bet365 Sport at the present moment, but there are some alternatives available to you. In Indiana, the latest BetRivers Affiliate CodeHOOSIERBONUS” offers you a simple and effective way to sign up with a great value deal with a local sports betting site. Alternatively, if you live in Pennsylvania, then PlaySugarHouse have their own online offering and the latest playsugarhouse promo code is available online right now.

Highlights of the Group Stage so far

The biggest highlight of the competition so far came on Saturday night when Luke Woodhouse, on his way to topping Group Two, completed a nine-dart finish in his 5-0 whitewash of Gerwyn Price. Price recovered to finish second in that group, as did World Champion Peter Wright on the opening night of action when Welshman Jamie Lewis got the best of him in their encounter to claim top spot.

The closest group was Group 4 with only leg difference separating Mickel Mansell, Ross Smith and Lisa Ashton behind Geert Nentjes in Group 4. So far the very top players, including Chisnall, Wright and Price have all made it through to the next stage. The next big-name star to be in action is James Wade who will compete tonight in Group 6.

What betting is available on the PDC Home Tour?

The great news for darts fans is that there is a surprising amount of betting available on the PDC Home Tour event. Each night of the Group Stages, punters can bet on any of the matches being played every half hour from 7.30pm to 10pm. Not only can you bet on the winner of the game, but you also have a selection of around 25 other different darts bets available.

That includes popular bets such as being able to bet on whether a nine-dart finish will be achieved during a game, or whether a 170 check out will end one of the legs. You can also bet on the leg score of any of the matches being contested.

In addition, bet365 Sport is also offering the chance to bet on the outright winner of the remaining three groups in the competition, with James Wade, Gabriel Clemens and Jonny Clayton the favourites to win each of the groups they are competing in.

Other Darts Betting available at bet365 Sport

The positive news for darts fans is that there are a number of other ‘home tour’ type tournaments that are currently being run by different organisations (Modus for one) which feature a number of stars, including current professionals, players earning a living on the seniors tour as well as players that have also retired from the game.

There are two Modus organised tournaments in play at the moment too. These are the Icons of Darts Live League 2020, which is played during the day and the A Night at the Darts 2020 tournament which is generally played in the evening.

Many of the same players, such as Paul Nicholson and Raymond van Barneveld are competing in both these tournaments, which also features another two former world champions in Martin. “Wolfie” Adams and Scottie “Too Hottie” Mitchell.

Both of these tournaments have a very similar number of bets available on them and on each of the games as you have available on the PDC Home Tour event, which means that you can enjoy some fantastic betting on both events.

In addition to this, you can also bet on the Remote Darts League 2020, which is an event that features some of the biggest names in the BDO, such as Jim Williams, Daryl Fitton, Wes Newton, Alan Norris, John Walton, Tony O’Shea and Dean Winstanley. Once again, a similar number of bets and bet types are available for punters to enjoy on this event.

Lastly of course, you can also enjoy bet365 Sport’s fantastic Virtual Darts game, which features a number of retired stars competing against each other over one leg of darts!

With bet365 live streaming the Night at the Darts tournament too, you can even tune in to watch on the site, provided you have made a bet in the preceding 24 hours or have a credit balance on your account.

In these tough times sport needs to innovate, and the good news is that this is precisely what Darts has done to offer fans some great value betting.
