Weekly NFL Recap – Gameday 6 Review
Welcome to our weekly NFL recap, where we review last weekend's action across the league. Gameday 6 saw some big wins, some tight losses, but with both 5-0 teams on a bye week, it is unlikely the top two will change in this weeks power rankings.
As such, things remain as they were with still two 100% winning records in the NFL so far, owned by the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs.
Gameday 6 was also notable for some of the first major trade moves of the new season and there may well be more of these as we head towards the Trade Deadline. This falls on Tuesday 5th November 2024.

Here's how the action panned out in NFL Gameday 6.
Gameday 6 Bye Week Teams: Miami Dolphins (2-3), Minnesota Vikings (5-0), Los Angeles Rams (1-4), Kansas City Chiefs (5-0)
This week, the NFL was abuzz with significant news stories on Gameday 6. The New York Jets made headlines by firing head coach Robert Saleh in the run up to Gameday 6. This decision has sparked discussions about other coaches who might be on the hot seat. League insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano have been analyzing the potential impacts of this move and speculating on which coaches might be next and who could eventually replace Saleh in the hot seat in the Big Apple.
Additionally, there is buzz about players who might receive new contract extensions in the coming months. Teams are looking to secure their key players for the future, and negotiations are underway for a number of key players. One player that has signed following Gameday 6 is Detroit Lions defensive tackle Alim McNeill, who signed a 4-year $97m extension to his contract this week.
NFL legend Tom Brady has had his request to become a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders accepted by the NFL Owners committee. Brady also is a shareholder in English soccer side Birmingham City.
Finally, the destination for Super Bowl LXII in 2028 has been revealed following Gameday 6 as the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
After the conclusion of Gameday 6, this week has seen a number of key trades as teams start to make final adjustments to their rosters ahead of the 5th November Trade Deadline.
The two biggest moves of the week so far have seen ex-Raiders wide receiver Davonte Adams leave Las Vegas to join Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets. The two players enjoyed a fantastic partnership in Green Bay and the Jets hierarchy are keen for them to resurrect their season after a 2-4 start.
Adams cost the Jets a third round pick in next years draft, but the Jets will pick up the final two years of his hefty contract.
Also on the move was another top WR as Amari Cooper left the struggling Cleveland Browns to join up with the Buffalo Bills.
Cleveland recouped a number of draft picks for the WR, including Buffalo's 2005 third round and 2026 seventh round picks, plus a 2025 sixth round pick, which the Browns had inherited from Detroit.
Additionally, the Houston Texans sent RB Cam Akers to the Minnesota Vikings in another trade. The second season in a row that Akers has been traded from one team to the Vikes.
The Texans have both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce back as their first choice running-back duo, while the Vikings saw RB Aaron Jones out at the weekend with a hip injury. It is a deal that suits both teams and the player.
Signing Akers only cost the Vikings and 2026 conditional sixth round pick, with Akers and a conditional seventh rounder being sent back to the Vikings in return.
