Weekly NFL Recap – NFL News Stories from Gameday 4
This week, one of the biggest stories in the NFL was the criticism of QB Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles players by Stephen A. Smith. Smith argued that the players deserved more criticism than coach Nick Sirianni. This sparked a lot of debate among fans and analysts alike.
Another major story was the performance of the Baltimore Ravens against the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, managed to outplay the Bills in a high-scoring game which also featured an 87-yard touchdown run by RB Derrick Henry, who rushed for 199 yards in total against the Bills defense.
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell admitted he had made a faux-pas after Detroit’s emphatic victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Lions QB Jared Goff set a new NFL record with a perfect return of 18 catches from 18 passes, 292 yards and two touchdowns in the win. And incredibly Goff also caught his first ever touchdown pass in the game. When informed by the press corps after the game of what Goff had achieved, Campbell admitted that he had awarded the game ball to a different Lions player!
Weekly NFL Recap – Trade News
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has reportedly asked the Raiders for a trade. Many experts speculate that Adams could be a target for the New York Jets, which would team him up with QB Aaron Rodgers once again. Others feel that with an injury to Rashee Rice last week, the Kansas City Chiefs may well be interested in the talented but controversial receiver.
The Chiefs have also been linked with a potential trade for Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins given the Titans slow start to the season and the injury to Rashee Rice.
