As we head towards a busy Easter weekend of sport, there’s still plenty of great betting opportunities to be had in the run up to Good Friday and beyond at Bet365 Sport. After a hugely busy weekend of betting, perhaps the biggest betting weekend of the year, the action continues this week with a number of big sporting events, all of which you can enjoy at Bet365 Sport prior to the Easter celebrations beginning.

Let’s take a look now at some of the big betting highlights this week starting with four of the biggest matches of the season so far on Tuesday and Wednesday night, the first leg of the Champions League Quarter Finals.

Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th April – Champions League Quarter Finals

Tuesday and Wednesday night sees eight teams battle it out across Europe to establish a first leg lead in the Champions League. The fixtures, together with the current Match Result betting Bet365 Champs League Offerfrom Bet365 Sport on each of the competitors are as follows (Tuesday’s two matches shown first).

  • Borussia Dortmund (8/13) v Monaco (15/4) – Draw 16/5
  • Juventus (6/4) v Barcelona (7/4) – Draw 23/10
  • Atletico Madrid (2/7) v Leicester City (10/1) – Draw 4/1
  • Bayern Munich (8/11) v Real Madrid (7/2) – Draw 11/4

Of course, this means that we now have an opportunity to trigger one of Bet365 Sports most popular bets, the Euro Soccer Bonus, by putting all four of these games together into a single accumulator bet.

For this bet, I am going to back the Match Result market shown above and I am going to go for the following selections:

  • Borussia Dortmund to defeat Monaco (8/13)
  • Juventus and Barcelona to draw (23/10)
  • Atletico Madrid to beat Leicester City (2/7)
  • Bayern Munich to beat Real Madrid (8/11)

This fourfold bet would pay out at odds of 10.83/1, which means that if you placed a £10 bet on this with Bet365 Sport, you would ordinarily get back £108.30, plus your £10 stake money returned. However, with the Euro Soccer Bonus, you’d get an additional 10% on top of your winnings for a successful fourfold bet.

That means instead of taking home £118.30 in total, you’d earn an additional 10% of your winnings (£10.83) meaning your total return on this bet for a £10 bet would in fact be £129.13.

Remember, if you elect to bet on the Match Result markets individually, your bet is also covered by Bet365’s Bore Draw Money Back promotion, which means that if you back a Match Result option and your game finishes 0-0 and your bet loses, then you will receive back your stake money as a free bet.

Thursday 13th April – Europa League Quarter Finals First Leg

Following on from the Champions League is the first leg of the Europa League Quarter Finals which also sees some outstanding matches featuring some of the most famous teams in European football of both the modern and bygone eras.

Here’s the full line up of games, complete with the Match Result market bets for the matches taking place on Thursday evening.

  • Ajax (11/8) v Schalke 04 (2/1) – Draw 9/4
  • Anderlecht (14/5) v Man Utd (19/20) – Draw 5/2
  • Celta Vigo (8/15) v Genk (5/1) – Draw 3/1
  • Lyon (8/15) v Besiktas (5/1) – Draw 3/1

While this bet is not covered by the Euro Soccer Bonus, you can bet on the individual games and still be covered by the Bore Draw Money Back offer and I think that this is a very decent bet because I think there is some real potential for some upset results here.

There is also the fact that if your selection is odds on, you can always improve the odds by betting on both teams to score, or not, or one of the teams winning to nil and that is precisely what I have done for the four selections I have outlined below.

  • Ajax v Schalke – to Draw at 9/4
  • Anderlecht v Manchester United – to Draw at 5/2
  • Celta Vigo v Genk – Celta Vigo to win and both teams to score at 11/4
  • Lyon v Besiktas – Lyon to win and both teams not to score at 2/1

Remember, these odds are available at the time of writing from Bet365 Sport and they are subject to change over the coming days and in the lead up to each, so check on the site to ensure the odds you receive are up to date.

Saturday 15th April – World Snooker Championship Starts

Fresh from an exciting China Open, the 15th April heralds the start of one of the biggest sporting events of the year as the World Snooker Championship gets under way at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield with World Number One Mark Selby hoping to defend the crown he won last year against Ding Junhui.

The winner at the Crucible takes home the biggest prize money of the season of £330,000, with just over £1.5m in prize money available across the entire tournament.

The tournament has been very open in the past few years with a number of different winners. Indeed since 2010, there have been five different winners, Neil Robertson, John Higgins, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby and Stuart Bingham.

Last year Mark Selby became the ninth multiple winner of the event when he claimed his second World crown and he starts as the 4/1 favourite with Bet365 for the event and that looks good value particularly after the Leicester-born player performed so well in the China Open just prior to the Worlds.

He is closely followed by two of the best potters in the history of the game in youngster Judd Trump (9/2) and the legend that is Ronnie O’Sullivan (5/1). Selby and Trump can only collide in the final being ranked 1st and 2nd in the event, however O’Sullivan’s ranking of 12 is somewhat misleading given that ‘The Rocket’ doesn’t play in too many ranking events. Certainly both players will want to avoid running into O’Sullivan if they can.

Other top seeds in the tournament (together with their current odds with Bet365 which are listed in brackets) are as follows:

  • 3 – Stuart Bingham – 25/1
  • 4 – Ding Junhui – 12/1
  • 5 – Shaun Murphy – 18/1
  • 6 – John Higgins – 12/1
  • 7 – Barry Hawkins – 16/1
  • 8 – Marco Fu – 16/1
  • 9 – Neil Robertson – 11/1
  • 10 – Ali Carter – 50/1

Ali Carter’s rise to tenth is all the more remarkable given that the player was ranked 32nd in the world in the first rankings for the new season, and has made a remarkable recovery from cancer to claim a place inside the top ten for the final event of the year.

You can place a pre-event bet on the winner of the World’s before the events kick off in Sheffield on the 15th April with Bet365, as well as enjoying plenty of In Play betting throughout the tournament which ends on Monday 1st May 2017.
