We are reaching the crunch time of the group stages in the Champions League. We already know that Juventus, Barcelona, Manchester City, Sevilla, Chelsea and current holders Bayern Munich have qualified for the Knockout Phase of the tournament in the new year. Over the next two weeks, the final two games will decide which other ten teams will join them, and who will miss out.

A number of teams could well clinch their spot in the next phase this week including English duo Liverpool and Manchester United, so it is going to be a pivotal week for games not just for the top two spots in each of the eight groups, but also for the third place spot which will see the teams finishing in that position move into the Europa League at the Round of 32 stage in the New Year.

If that sounds like a line-up of top games in the Champions League that you would like to enjoy a bet on, then why not take a look at the latest odds-on offer with one of the foremost online bookmakers in the world today? Lastly, other states that permit sports betting can offer an option to sign up with DraftKings Online Sportsbook service, which is another good option with a fine starter offer and a wide range of bets available on top sporting events, including of course, the Champions League.

There’s a cracking selection of games to enjoy this week in the Champions League. Let’s bring you details of all 6 games now, including our prediction for the Correct Score market for each game (using odds provided by bet365).

Champions League Matchday 5

All games are 8pm Kick off UK Time unless otherwise stated.

Tuesday 1st December

Lokomotiv Moscow v Red Bull Salzburg (5.55pm)

Lokomtiv Moscow are long odds to win this game which is odd considering they have lost once narrowly in this group. I fancy them to get a narrow win against a Salzburg side who have landed just one point from their four games so far.

  • Correct Score Tip – Lokomotiv Moscow 1-0 Red Bull Salzburg – 16/1

Shakhtar Donetsk v Real Madrid (5.55pm)

A win in inter last week has propelled real Madrid back into serious contention to win this group and I think they will cement that here with a revenge victory over a Shakhtar side that defeated them on home soil back on week 1.

  • Correct Score Tip – Shakhtar Donetsk 0-2 Real Madrid – 17/2

Atalanta v Midtjylland

After their stunning win over Liverpool at Anfield last week, Atalanta are back in contention in this group now and I think a strong home win is on the cards here against a Midtjylland side that they beat comfortably on the road a couple of weeks ago.

  • Correct Score Tip – Atalanta 3-0 Midtjylland – 15/2

Atletico Madrid v Bayern Munich

Two teams who should qualify from Group A, Bayern already have with four wins from four but I think that 100% record could come to an end here against an Atletico side who should have key players back and who are a lot more formidable to beat at home.

  • Correct Score Tip – Atletico Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich – 13/2

Borussia Monchengladbach v Inter Milan

Borussia Monchengladbach are top of this group by a point from Real Madrid and if they can win this game, they would qualify for the next phase. Inter have underperformed in this group, with just two draws so far and I think the Germans will claim a narrow victory here.

  • Correct Score Tip – Borussia Monch 2-1 Inter Milan – 8/1

FC Porto v Manchester City

Man City have already qualified for the next phase and as such, I think Pep may rest a couple of key players here. Even so, City have such strength in depth as to still win this game comfortably, which they will want to do to ensure that they top the group.

  • Correct Score Tip – FC Porto 0-2 Manchester City – 8/1

Liverpool v Ajax

I think Jurgen Klopp badly underestimated Atalanta last week at Anfield, resulting in a 2-0 defeat for the Reds. He can’t afford to do that against a very talented Ajax side here too. As such I expect a much stronger Liverpool team to be selected here and to get the job done, although it will be close.

  • Correct Score Tip – Liverpool 2-1 Ajax – 8/1

Marseille v Olympiakos

Despite doing well domestically, both these teams have struggled in Europe this season and Olympiakos only win came against Marseille in their opening game in the group. I think Marseille will pick up their first points of the group here, but they may just have to settle for one.

  • Correct Score Tip – Marseille 1-1 Olympiakos – 5/1

Wednesday 2nd December

Istanbul Basaksehir v Red Bull Leipzig (5.55pm)

Make no mistake, nothing less than a win here for Leipzig will be enough, while if Basaksehir win, they could force themselves into the reckoning in this group too. For me though, the Germans should have enough quality to ensure they get the win they need to make this group very interesting next week.

  • Correct Score Tip – Istanbul Basaksehir 0-2 Red Bull Leipzig – 7/1

Krasnodar v Rennes (5.55pm)

Two teams that are battling it out for third place and a spot in the Europa League after Christmas. Krasnodar have a slight head to head advantage here, but in truth these two teams are well matched and I think a draw is the most likely outcome.

  • Correct Score Tip – Krasnodar 0-0 Rennes – 10/1

Borussia Dortmund v Lazio

Lazio were worthy winners when the two teams met in Rome and though both teams come into this game on the back of shock home defeats, I am backing the German side and their very talented forward line of Reyna, Haaland and Sancho to claim the win here.

  • Correct Score Tip – Borussia Dortmund 3-1 Lazio – 11/1

Club Brugge v Zenit St Petersburg

Club Brugge defeated Zenit in Russia on Matchday 1 but I think the Russian side underperformed that day and I am backing them to gain some revenge for that loss here although this will likely be a close game decided by a single goal.

  • Correct Score Tip – Club Brugge 0-1 Zenit St Petersburg – 11/1

Ferencvaros v Barcelona

Ferencvaros were so close to earning a draw in Turin last week against Juventus but I think that Barcelona will be a very tough one for them here. Barca won the home leg 5-1 on Matchday one and while it won’t be that big a win again, they should still earn a solid victory.

  • Correct Score Tip – Ferencvaros 0-3 Barcelona – 10/1

Juventus v Dynamo Kyiv

Kyiv have just one point in the competition so far and while Juventus laboured to a win over Ferencvaros last week, I think they should find this game a little more too their liking and I am backing them, even with a weakened team, to come through comfortably enough.

  • Correct Score Tip – Juventus 2-0 Dynamo Kyiv – 5/1

Manchester United v Paris St Germain

Man Utd have beaten PSG twice away from home in their last two meetings but at Old Trafford, PSG have won the only clash between the teams. United just need a point to progress from this group but getting that could be tough especially if this game goes the way of the French team as I feel it will.

  • Correct Score Tip – Manchester United 1-2 Paris St Germain – 17/2

Sevilla v Chelsea

Both these teams have already qualified from Group E so this is essentially a showdown to decide who wins the group, Chelsea have the advantage on goal difference so Sevilla need a win here and I think they will just about eke out a win here, given their excellent record against English teams of just 4 losses in 23 games.

  • Correct Score Tip – Sevilla 1-0 Chelsea – 8/1
