The owners of Paris St Germain have made no bones about their desire to win the Champions League and this is their team’s first chance to compete in the final. Their attack is arguably the best in world football, but they are weaker in midfield and defence against the very best teams. Goalkeeper could be a weak link in the team with the first choice keeper Keylor Navas out injured.

Bayern Munich Factfile

  • Manager – Hansi Flick
  • Captain – Manuel Neuer

Given that Bayern will have the likes of Pavard, Coutinho, Tolisso, Coman, Sule and Lucas Hernandez also available for this game, the strength in depth of the squad is astonishing. A hugely talented team in the best form in their history and who have scored an incredible 97 goals in their last 29 games, winning 28 and in truth, it is hard to see how PSG can stop them adding to the five Champions League titles they have already claimed.

Champions League Final Tips

  • Full Time Result – Bayern Munich – 19/20
  • Full Time Result / BTTS – Bayern Munich & Yes – 15/8
  • Correct Score – Bayern Munich 4-2 Paris St Germain – 28/1
  • Anytime Goalscorer – Serge Gnabry (Bayern Munich) – 11/10

As you can see from my predictions, I am of the opinion Bayern Munich will win this game and that this final will likely be one of the highest scoring games for many years. I feel both sides main weaknesses are defensive. Bayern do give teams a chance against them, especially those with pace and that is precisely what PSG have. Similarly, PSG are not that great defensively and without their first choice keeper Navas in goal, I think they will struggle in the face of Bayern’s attacking relentlessness and constant pressure.

I do feel therefore both teams will score and I can see PSG scoring a couple of goals, the only problem for the French side is that I can see Bayern scoring 3 or 4 goals the other way, which is what they have been averaging since Hansi Flick took over and in their most recent Champions League games too.
