Bet365 Poker Jackpot Sit n Go Tournament

One of the most striking features of the Bet365 Poker site is the chance to win a considerable amount of money through playing Sit & Go games.

While high stakes cash table games or huge online multi table tournaments are usually the most common types of games to offer players the chance to win larger sums, Bet365 Poker offers Sit & Go players a similar chance to win big thanks to their Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments.

There are four different Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments available: Dirty Dozen, Maui, Rio and Fort Knox – each with their own jackpot, winning criteria, and buy in level.

In this article, we’ll examine a little more about each tournament and how you can win the big prizes on offer.

Any new players who haven’t yet signed up an account should do so now – new signups can take advantage of a generous Bet365 Poker no deposit bonus.

Registering for a Bet 365 Poker Jackpot Sit & Go Tournament

Registering for your choice of Jackpot Sit & Go game is very easy, especially if you are going to be participating in the smaller buy in versions of the game as there are always plenty of games in action and more starting all the time.

Once logged in on the Bet365 Poker client, navigate to the Sit & Go menu and then click on the Jackpot Sit & Go option in the sub-menu. This brings up a list of all the current Jackpot Sit & Go tables that are waiting to start, currently in progress or have recently finished.

Simply locate the Jackpot Sit & Go that you want to participate in by scrolling down the list and find a table with an empty seat. Register for the tournament and you are automatically opted in for the offer.

The tournament buy ins are usually as follows:

  • Dirty Dozen – $2.40 buy in  (12 participants per tournament – two tables of six)
  • Maui – $6 buy in (10 players per tournament)
  • Rio – $23.50 buy in (6 players per tournament)
  • Fort Knox – $59 buy in (6 players per tournament)

There are many more tournaments available at the lower buy in levels (Maui and Dirty Dozen) than the higher, but even so, there are still usually tables free in the higher stakes games too.

Once you’ve registered for the tournament, you then have to fulfill the Jackpot criteria of that specific tournament in order to win the big prizes on offer.

Dirty Dozen

The Dirty Dozen tournament sees $2 buy in ($0.40 rake) paid by 12 players who compete over two tables if six players, followed by a final table, to become the overall winner.

The Dirty Dozen Sit & Go Jackpot stands at $2,000 and is paid to any player who can win four Dirty Dozen tournaments in succession within a period of 14 days maximum.

The jackpot is paid in addition to the winnings that the player will receive for winning each of the four tournaments.

If a player thinks they have a claim for a jackpot prize, then they must contact Bet365 poker referencing the offer within 48 hours of successfully completing the challenge and subject to scrutiny, Bet365 Poker will release the jackpot payment.

Last year, Bet365 Poker paid out over $250,000 in Dirty Dozen jackpot payments, so this is a jackpot which has a high strike rate for strong Sit & Go players.

Maui

Your $6 buy in to the Maui tournament sees $5 in prize money and $1 given as the rake and you will compete against ten other players in order to win the tournament.

Maui tables are the most popular on Bet365 according to the company’s own figures, so they are always easy to find and compete in at any time of the day.

To win a progressive jackpot of at least $15,000, you need to compete in and win five successive Maui tournaments within the space of 14 days.

Players then make their claim as outlined for the Dirty Dozen jackpot above.

Bet365 Poker also offers a small consolation prize for players who narrowly miss out on winning the big jackpot. If you finish 1st or 2nd in five consecutive events, then you are eligible for a consolation prize of $200.

The best news about the Maui jackpot is that for every calendar week that the jackpot is not won, Bet365 Poker add extra money into the jackpot fund.

After being initially set at $15,000, after one week the jackpot is increased by $5,000, then $4,000 in the 2nd week, $3,000 in the third and then by $1,500 in every subsequent week that the jackpot is not won.

Once the jackpot is won, it is reset to $15,000 and can start to build again.

Rio

Just $3.50 of your $23.50 goes to the Bet365 Poker as a rake, with the remaining $20 used as prize fund cash in this $30,000 or more progressive jackpot tournament.

There are six players in each Rio Sit & Go tournament and to win the jackpot, you have to win six consecutive Rio Jackpot Sit & Go tournaments in succession within a 14-day period.

The good news with the Rio jackpot is that there is no limit as to how high the jackpot can grow with the minimum starting point being $30,000, and it will then increase by $10,000 after one week and then $5,000 every week the jackpot is not claimed thereafter.

If a player finishes 1st or 2nd in six tournaments, then they are eligible for a consolation prize of $300.

Once a jackpot has been won, the prize fund is reset to the minimum $30,000 and will start to build from thereon.

Fort Knox

For the biggest Sit & Go Jackpot game, you can pay the $50 prize fund and $9 rake to take on the Fort Knox challenge and give yourself a chance to win at least $50,000.

Each tournament consists of 6 players and just like the Rio tournament, you have to win six tournaments in succession, within 14-days, in order to trigger the jackpot.

The Fort Knox jackpot is also progressive and will increase by $10,000 in the first week it is not claimed, $7,500 in the second, $5,000 in the third, $4,500 in the fourth, $4,000 in the fifth, $3,500 in the sixth, $3,000 in the seventh week and $2,500 in every subsequent week.

Once a Fort Knox jackpot has successfully been claimed, then it is reset to $50,000 and will start to grow once again.

What is the standard of play in the Jackpot Sit & Go tournaments?

Having played in some of the lower priced Jackpot Sit & Go events, it is fair to say that the standard in these tournaments is similar, if slightly better compared to traditional Sit & Go games, like Double Your Money or similar.

The reason for that is simply that the offer of a big jackpot tends to attract the better Sit & Go players to these rooms in the hope that they can hit a lucky streak and perhaps land the big jackpot. As a result, the rooms are always popular (which is handy if you want to start playing quickly and don’t want to wait around for a game).

The downside is that this makes winning one tournament a real test for the novice player, however they do offer a superb grounding in honing your Sit & Go poker skills. Winning more than one in succession is a real test.

There is no doubt that you’ll need luck, as well as great poker play in order to win any of these jackpots, but they can and are won by players on the site. They certainly add a little spice to the smaller stakes Sit & Go games in particular.
