Dota 2 ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 4 Playoffs Get Under Way This Week

After a tense and nailbiting online qualifying competition between eight of the best teams, six teams remain in with a shout of lifting the DreamLeague Season 4 title as the action recommences Dota 2 Bet365this week with the final playoff stage of one of the biggest Dota 2 events in Europe.

There’s over $150,000 in prize money up for grabs, with a top prize of $55,000 for the top team as the six remaining teams battle it out over three days of playoff action this week in Sweden starting on the 26th November, through until the 28th November.

After a very keenly contested group stage, two teams finished in the top two places making it through to the Final Bracket on merit, those teams being Alliance (who finished second with a 9-5 record) and group winners OG who finished with a 10-4 record.

Four other teams, Vega Squadron, Monkey Freedom Fighters, 4 Clover & Lepricon and Team Empire earned a spot in the Round of 6 play offs to battle it out against each other to see which two teams will progress to take on Alliance and OG in the Final Bracket semi finals.

The long (and somewhat complicated) playoffs begin with Vega Squadron taking on Team Empire and Monkey Freedom Fighters facing 4 Clover and Lepricon in the first round games. The two losers will head into the Losers round for a best of 3 match up to remain in the competition. The two winners will move on to Round 2, with the winner of that match earning one of the qualification spots.

The loser of the match between the winner of the two first round matches will play the winner of the match between the two first round loser and the winner of this game will claim the second qualifying spot in the Final Bracket.

Once these two teams are known the Final Bracket will be played out in a similar way with losing teams from their games given the chance to progress in the losers bracket. All games are best of three matches, apart from the Grand Final which is a best of five game.
