How to qualify for the Summer Days “All In” Freerolls

To play in the nightly Summer Days “All In” freeroll, you need to have earned at least one Tournament Token during the preceding qualifying period. Qualifying periods run from 00:00 GMT until 23:59 GMT and if you earn your token during this time, you will qualify for any subsequent Summer Day’s “All In” tournament.

There are two ways you can earn a tournament token and you can earn a tournament token in both these ways each day for a maximum of two tournament tokens per day.

The first is by playing on the cash tables with blinds of £0.02/£0.04, £0.05/£0.10 or €0.02/€0.04 and €0.05/€0.10 with more than two players at the tables. You need to win a minimum of ten hands at any of these cash tables during a qualifying period to earn a tournament token.

The second method you can earn a tournament token is by playing in Bet365 Poker’s popular Twister Sit and Go games. You must win a minimum of two Twister Sit and Go events in a single qualifying period in order to earn a tournament token via this method.

The daily limit of tokens awarded per individual player is two, however you can only win two tokens if you complete both the methods outlined above. You cannot win two tokens by completing one way of earning a tournament token twice.

You do not have to use your tournament tokens in the very next freeroll event if you do not wish to do so, indeed you can collect tokens over time and use a maximum of four to enter any one freeroll event if you prefer.

However, you only have until the 1st July within which to use  up all your tournament tokens earned as the promotion will expire at this time and any remaining tokens will be null and void.

So what happens once you have earned yourself some Tournament Tokens and decide to opt in to an event? Well, if you have never played in an “All In” tournament before, it may come as something of a surprise to you, so let’s explain how these kinds of tournaments progress and what is expected of you in them.

What are “All In” freerolls?

The name “All In” freerolls gives you a very large hint as to the nature of these events. In essence, they are a poker tournament where the players don’t actually use any poker skills in order to advance their chances of success. Instead, it all depends on the luck of the draw of the cards and how your hand compares to others at your table to see if you progress.

In an “All In” tournament, every player in the tournament that has bought in (or in this case, used a Tournament Token for entry) starts the tournament and plays every subsequent hand that they qualify for with all their chips in the pot.

So for example, if you start an “All In” tournament with eight people at the table, this usually means that after the first hand, seven will be eliminated and one lucky player will advance to the next table with all other players who also won all the chips at the first table.

As every player is “all in” each hand, all hands will progress through the flop, turn and river until the winner at the table is declared. All players who lost are eliminated from the tournament.

Occasionally, more than one player may win the chips if two or more players share the same winning hand, but this is generally rare and on the vast majority of occasions, it will be one player at each successive table that moves on to the next stage of the tournament.

As you can see, for the vast majority of players, this tournament will only last one, maybe two hands and as a result, these tournaments are played very quickly and it is very much left to random chance as to whether you will win a cash prize or not.

The general rule of thumb in All In events is that the longer you stay in the event, then the greater the chance you have of landing the top prize. If you manage to go through the event and win at every table you play, then you’ll be the winner and take home the biggest share of the cash prize on offer.

This type of “All In” game is a way of using the elements of poker to create a more random game, where poker skills are irrelevant and it all depends on the hand you have been dealt and the cards that come out on the flop, turn and river to see if you progress to the next stage.

Best of all, you don’t even need to be there to watch the game unfold. You can enter the tournament and log in the following day to see if your entry managed to win you a prize.
